Original work — Edition of 1
Digital transfer on dibond aluminium with augmented reality layer
123 × 152.5 cm (framed: 125 × 154.5 cm)

In MTV in the 90s, Musketon captures the nostalgia of a pre-algorithm era — a time when television defined youth culture and attention wasn’t yet for sale. From a first-person perspective, the viewer peers into a glowing screen of Beavis and Butt-Head, icons of rebellion and absurdity.

The work merges analogue longing with digital evolution: a static image on aluminium that comes alive through an augmented reality layer. This evolving AR component — updated monthly — transforms the piece into a living time capsule, looping endlessly between past and present.

MTV in the 90s reflects on the shift from collective pop culture to personalized feeds — when what we watched shaped who we were, and not the other way around.
