Every Shot Counts

This sculpture began as a callback to my childhood. I grew up playing with green plastic toy soldiers, and it was important that this work carried that same visual language. Familiar, simplified, almost innocent...but translated into bronze.

Every Shot Counts is a bronze sculpture, 125 cm in height and weighing 100 kg.
The work is produced in a limited edition of 24, with 4 artist’s proofs.

This piece started as a simple drawing on paper.

From there, the sketch was translated into a full 3D model. Every detail was refined: the expression, the stance, the proportions. The goal wasn’t realism for the sake of realism, but control — making sure nothing felt heroic or dramatic. Just casual. Almost naive.

Once the digital model was finalized, it was scaled up and prepared for casting. What started as lines became volume. What felt light became physical.

The sculpture was cast using traditional techniques. The figure was separated into parts, molded, burned out, and poured. The peace sign, the rifle, the smile...all locked into solid metal.
